What is it?

CAR4TRADE is a unique car buying service offered by Horizon Performance Cars of Lindfield to residents of the Mid-Sussex area.

What makes it unique?

We don’t buy your car for ourselves, meaning we aren’t trying to buy it for the lowest price. Instead, we use our network of dealer contacts that spans the entire UK, by doing this we are able to pitch dealers against each other to give the best price for your car!

Why does this work?

Quality used car stock is in high demand. Dealers and other car buying services don’t want customers to know that, and opportunistically attempt to buy vehicles from the public below market price. We know the real value of used cars, and so does our network; they expect to pay true market prices when buying from us.

How does this work?

After establishing the details of your vehicle, we provide you with a guideline value for your car. Assuming you are happy with that, we visit you to inspect the car and take some photo’s. We send this information out to our network and they in turn send us back offers to buy your car. We provide you with the best offer, which you either accept or decline. If you accept, we arrange a time to collect your car to complete the transaction. You always deal with us and only us.

How long does it take?

It’s very quick, following inspection of your vehicle, most sales are completed and funds cleared within 2-3 days.

What happens if the sale falls through or I change my mind?

If the sale falls through, we can provide you with the second best offer we received. If you change your mind, there are no charges, you are free to walk away. Unfortunately, once the car has been collected to complete the transaction, it is not possible after this point to stop the sale.

What’s in it for us?

We charge our dealers a small finders fee, which is how we get paid. We never charge our customers a fee, and the figure we quote you is what you will receive.
